Dear all
The Careers Service at the University of Bristol has experimented with
recording one-to-one interviews using a microphone, with a USB cable,
plugged into a PC and 'Audacity' recording/editing software. These
recordings have then been published as Podcasts:

We want to go further and record some of our student events (especially
talks and workshops) using a robust digital voice recorder so that content
can be made available post-event for those unable to attend the live-event.
Do you have experience of capturing audio content (in MP3 or WAV format)
from lectures and/or workshops and publishing audio content to the web?
If so, I would greatly appreciate your advice - appropriate hardware and
software, lessons learnt, recommended links, suppliers etc.
If you can help, perhaps it would be best to send me your responses
off-list and I will pool all comments for the list - to save our mailboxes
from imploding.
Yours in hope and with many thanks in advance
Mark
