Deputy Chief Executive
The British Universities Film & Video Council is seeking to appoint a Deputy
Chief Executive upon the retirement of Geoffrey O’Brien in December 2007.
The appointee will manage the day-to-day running and development of the
BUFVC towards agreed strategic targets and will report to the Chief
Executive, Murray Weston. He/she will be based at the BUFVC's offices in
central London.
He/she will implement business planning, compliance, reporting, personnel
and services management through the following:
* liaison with trustees, funding bodies, sponsors and members
* supervision of management information and accurate record keeping
* preparation and delivery of reports ensuring legal and contractual
compliance
* documentation of overall business planning and results
* personnel management
* financial planning
* represent the BUFVC in conferences, meetings and presentations
* managing the administration of the BUFVC’s offices to ensure
efficient operations
* organising and managing formal meetings and consultations
* liaison with independent auditors
The successful candidate will be appointed on a salary circa £42,000 per
annum (depending upon experience) – the equivalent of BFI pay level 3. The
employment package includes membership of the British Film Institute and
interest-free annual season ticket loan. There is a contributory pension
scheme.
