If the access is simply needed on site then you don't need Athens. You
just give your users password protected access off of your intranet.
For off site access, Athens is so good, why would you want anything
else? My best guess is if you had a student portal you could set up a
log in to than and then on to your e-resources, but that's a lot of
extra work.
