Aim
This workshop is aimed at anyone who uses a range of communication methods during their
working day.
Objectives
At the end of this session you will be able to:
- Identify the barriers that cause communication to break down
- Explore how to choose the appropriate method of communication
- Develop a code of good practice for several different methods of communication
- Participate effectively in meetings
Course Content
- What is communication?
- Analysing your role and the part communication plays within it
- Identifying the main methods of communication used at work
- Good practice when using:
- Face to face communication
- E-mail
- Other written forms of communication
- Telephone
- Effective participation at meetings
- Action planning
