Hi All
For clarity, I need to interject on this thread as list owner (which I
try to avoid doing as much as possible).
There is absolutely no need for anyone to reply to the request made by
Adrian (in assent or otherwise). It is not an appropriate use of the
list and I have mailed the parties concerned accordingly.
The original message was posted to a different list anyway (then
forwarded to another list and then copied to this list) so it is
somewhat removed from origin.
However, to pick up on Margo's point, this is not a 'private' list in
nay sense. All the messages posted are archived permanently and publicly
on the web at the address displayed at the bottom of every message. You
do need to bear this in mind when expressing personal opinions or
revealing personal details.
It may be worth noting that there are just over 750 list members in
around 50 countries worldwide, so it is also important to frame posts in
a way that takes account of a wide international readership.
It may also be a timely reminder that although discussion here is
unmoderated and free-flowing, its primary purpose is for the discussion
of critical disability research questions. There are many other lists
for other purposes... :o)
Best wishes
Mark (list owner)
