	(5) The International Association for Research in Juvenile Criminology 
announces the following conference: 17th conference of the International 
Association for Research in Juvenile Criminology, Swansea University, 
Wales, UK, 26th – 29th March 2008, Promoting Positive Practices: 
Transforming Youth Justice Policy and Practice.

The conference will address the theme of ‘Promoting Positive Practices: 
Transforming Youth Justice Policy and Practice’. The conference will 
embrace positive practices in the areas of both prevention of 
delinquency and direct work with young people who have offended. Policy 
and practice interventions in communities, schools, sentencing, youth 
justice services/interventions and specialist institutions (education, 
treatment centres and custody) will be explored.
