Vogel - Bird. What does a bird do - it flies - the word flying would not
appear as such in ancient Egypt but represented as a bird - a bird soars up
into the sky, "towards the Sun". Sonnen - The Sun - worshipped as it gave
live & death in many ways and was not touchable by man - but a bird could
"touch/reach" the Sun. Barke - skiff/barque - boat - what type of boat -
reed or wood - what ever it was represented as. I think the meaning of
"Vogelsonnenbarke" should be "The Sun Boat" - taking "Vogel" literarily as
meaning "flying or flew" rather than "Bird" and assume it flies like a bird
into the Sun.>>
Indeed perhaps a less than literal answer is need for this problem.
There of course is a more probable meaning for this word all the same.
Barke - barque - in Egypt such would be made of reed which was also the
source for their paper. So Barke could really mean both boat and paper or a
Vogel - birds do more than fly. They often do things when flying that
interfered with the average Egyptian on the ground.
Sonnen - The Sun, quite obviously!
So another translation of "Vogelsonnenbarke" could be "Shit, is The Sun
newspaper" or to be grammatically correct "The Sun is a shit newspaper".
