Now, where does on I get rawhide?
Mike, try your local pet shop - you get rawhide chews for dogs - if you get the right sort you can soak them and unravel the knots, giving you lengths of rawhide - it's slippery when wet and impossible to do anything with when dry. The other place to try is on the Living History UK forum - there are various traders in the reenactment world who supply all manner of esoteric products.
