I'm having trouble setting the global normalization to my user-defined
vector. I think the SPM.xGX.iGXcalc should be "2" after choosing "USER"
under the 'global calculation' option. But when I run the job iGXcalc is "3".
I'm not sure if it depends whether proportional scaling etc are set or not
so I've tried different settings for the other global normalisation choices
but it doesn't help. I've attached the job.mat file, which shows the correct
user setting, and the unestimated SPM.mat.
If it helps, this is why I want to do it: I want to compare 1 single patient
PET scan against 10 controls. Instead of normalizing the global means of
each scan to the same value, I want to normalize just one region of each
image to the same value - e.g. the occipital lobe in each scan has the same
value. I have extracted this value for each image and entered this as a
vector in "global calculation -> user".
PS I'm running SPM5 (checked updates today) on Matlab 7.4, on WinXP.
