The BSHS Outreach and Education Committee is pleased to announce the results of its recent competition for an original image to use in education and outreach work.
The winner is Joe Cain of the Department of Science and Technology Studies, University College London, for his photograph 'Connecting threads' and accompanying commentary. The prize was awarded at the 2007 Annual Conference in Manchester.
The runner-up was Helen-Frances Pilkington, a recent student at the Department of History and Philosophy of Science, University of Cambridge, for her entry 'Everyday items, or Newton's experimental instruments'.
