Dear colleague,
we are organizing a workshop at the Pervasive Health 2008 conference in
Tampere, Finland.
The topic is Ambient Persuasion in Pervasive Healthcare (APiPH).
We would be happy if you are interested to participate in our workshop
and consider to submit.
Call for papers
This workshop will discuss the use of Ambient Intelligence (AmI) for
Persuasion in pervasive healthcare. AmI allows surrounding the user with
persuasive technology in their everyday life, giving the possibility for
persuasive interventions just at the right time and in the right place.
We use the term Ambient Persuasion to refer to the use of persuasive
technologies that rely on context sensing and a network infrastructure,
to enable the delivery of applying context sensitive
system behaviour and persuasive content, personalized for the user, at
the right time and at the right place.
We particularly look for position papers containing highly original
ideas in the following topic areas, although papers describing other
challenges regarding Ambient Persuasion in Healthcare are also welcome:
* Theoretical foundations of Ambient Persuasion
* Frameworks and heuristics for the design of Ambient Persuasion
healthcare applications
* User experience in Ambient Persuasion healthcare environments
* Application areas in healthcare for Ambient Persuasion
technologies
* Case studies and examples of Ambient Persuasion healthcare
* Ethical and privacy questions regarding Ambient Persuasion
* Methods and tools for research on Ambient Persuasion
* Building an interdisciplinary research community around the
topic
