Date: 9 November 2007

This one day conference focuses on a range of social, environmental and economic factors and policies affecting today's students (e.g. university fees, living conditions, mental health issues). Keynotes are from Professor Miriam David and Professor Andy Furlong. Papers are then grouped under four themes (policy, student experience, identity, using the wider curriculum).
Booking information and full details of the programme, abstracts, poster displays and keynotes can be viewed at - http://www.swap.ac.uk/social_policy_conference/index.html.
The full conference fee is £60. Students and service users/carers are eligible for a 50% reduction.
The Conference is hosted by SWAP (Subject Centre for Social Policy and Social Work) and sponsored by C-SAP (Subject Centre for Sociology, Anthropology and Politics) and ESCalate (Subject Centre for Education). Please forward to any colleagues who you think may be interested in attending.
