I think there was recently a thread on this list about repurposing. There is
an article in today's New York Times
(http://www.nytimes.com/2007/09/06/garden/06hackers.html?pagewanted=all)
that discusses the apparently quite widespread repurposing of Ikea products.
It may be of interest to some of you, particularly as it mentions some blogs
and websites that track different people's hacks of these and other
products.
