If you are new to project management this two-day course will help you understand the general principles and techniques and apply these to real workplace projects within the library and information field. The course is suitable for those with management responsibilities within any library sector.
BY THE END OF THE EVENT PARTICIPANTS WILL HAVE:
* examined a range of project management tools
* applied a number of project management techniques to work-based projects
* produced a project plan
* explored the factors to consider when putting together and managing a project budget
* an overview of issues affecting team-building and delegation
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Those with little or no previous project management experience and/or those who need to manage projects with a library/information unit.
COURSE LEADER: KATHY RODDY
Kathy is a qualified librarian and information manager with considerable experience of working in public, academic and specialist libraries. She also has senior management experience gained in the voluntary sector and for the past six years been a freelance trainer and consultant specialising in the LIS field. She also holds the Association of Project Management's Certificate in Project Management
