The JISC funded Version Identification Framework (VIF) Project, conducting
a requirements exercise for version identification looking at a range of
digital object types (following on from the previous VERSIONS Project
which looked at text documents only), has now reached its second phase.
The team is looking for knowledgeable colleagues to fill in a short online
survey, to clearly establish requirements for version identification and
provide details about the current use of digital objects and versioning
questions that arise from their creation, management, storage and use.
Results from this survey will be used to help develop a version
identification framework and ensure that it is both robust and useful.
On completing the survey, respondents will be given the chance to enter a
draw to win one of three £50 Amazon vouchers.
