Apologies for cross posting. I sent this email to lis ebooks last week. I
did not have any replies from other sites but it is a quiet list and seems
to be more for sharing information rather than discussin. I checked with
Lesley and she has no problem with me sending this to lis-ejournals. We
took out a subscription to the T and F Jisc eBook deal last year. I do
have a few concerns and just wanted to check if it was just Edge Hill
having these problem. We are still waiting for many of our Marc records. I
find the interface very unfriendly and although we have been promised they
will be on Informaworld but has not happened yet - have now been told
early next year. This puzzles
me because as far as I can see there are eBooks on informaworld but not
our titles. Finally I have received today a url for accessing usage
statistics (I have only just asked for it) Although I have been told it
is counter compliant it is not. It also showed me that the collection is
just not being used – 128 accesses since January and I know many of those
were from testing by me. Our Netlibrary statistics are brilliant so I am
not sure what to do. The rant is over so 4 questions:
1.Have you received all your marc records for this deal?
2.Are you able to access counter compliant statistics?
3.Are any of your titles on informaworld?
4.What do you think of the T and F eBooks interface?
Many thanks
Maureen
