Based at Public Health Resource Centre, Armley Park Court, Leeds

Salary - Band 6, 22,886-31,004pa (pro rata) *Subject to Agenda for Change
Review **Pay Award Pending

Working option - Full Time, 37.5 hours per week



The purpose of this post is to provide high quality Knowledge management to
a wide range of health professionals across Leeds.  As well as providing
specialist public health and health promotion information you will be
responsible for producing regular publications of information, effectively
researching and collating information from various sources including the
internet, journals, databases and books.  The post will be responsible for
the line management of Information and Resources staff and for delivering
local and national standards and targets through the provision of a vibrant
effective Information and Resources service.  The post holder will be
responsible for managing Leeds Public Health websites and running training
courses to professionals on access to information.

With a degree or postgraduate qualification in Library/Information
Management or equivalent professional qualification and at least 2 years
experience in an information communication management role, you will have
excellent working knowledge of the Internet and all Microsoft office
packages.  You will have well-developed organisation, communication and
dissemination skills and have the ability to work effectively as part of a
team.  Being customer focused, enthusiastic and proactive with excellent
interpersonal skills, you should be able to maintain and develop good
information and communication working practices within a challenging and
changing environment.

will be given to applicants who are currently employed within the Leeds PCT
and are at risk.
