Hi Jane,
We have a blind student doing Maths at Sheffield Hallam - not the same but quite similar in terms of using lots of mathematical equations and formulae. If you want to discuss some of our strategies give me a ring on 0114 2255311.
cheers
Rich

Subject: Blind student doing Physics
We are going to have a blind student do a physics / astrology type course. The student has been blind for 3 years and although he is proficient with using JAWS he doesn't use braille and hasn't used tactile diagrams in the past. My main concern is supporting him with the mathematic equations and formulae and graphs and charts. Would anyone be able to provide any practical help in our student understanding and dealing with this within his course?
Many thanks
Jane
