As a former Hearing Therapist, the students may like to contact the British Society for Hearing Therapists through the British Academy of Audiology (the BAA)
http://www.baaudiology.org/_vti_bin/shtml.exe/index.html
Many therapists run services for people with tinnitus and can often help with treatment and equipment.
Best wishes
John

Hello Klaire,
Not a specific answer to your question, but the student who is studying
medicine may find these 2 web sites of interest / help, if they haven't
already seen them.
