A reprocessed version of an experiment would count as a new 'spectrum' in
the strict sense of the data model. It's currently often very convenient
to slip a reprocessed version of a spectrum into the same place in an
analysis project without the hassle of copying peak objects etc., etc.
(remembering of course that peak intensities etc. may need to be
recalculated as appropriate).
