Dear Colleagues,
I am currently involved with an outreach project which looks at involving school groups with community archaeology and archive sources.
The North Yorkshire County Record Office is one of a number of partners involved and as part of our contribution we've hosted visits by school groups. In the autumn term we're extending the programme to include a small group of older children (13-16) who have been excluded from mainstream education due to behavioural difficulties. The group will be visiting the record office for half a day. I was wandering if anyone out there has had experience of working with children with a similar background. Any insights or advice welcome!
Many Thanks,
James Towe,
