Archive and Records Management Assistant Borthwick Institute Vacancy
reference: BS07406 The Borthwick Institute is one of the largest and most
important archive repositories in the north of England. The job is
interesting and varied, including working in busy public search rooms,
answering enquiries, locating and retrieving documents in the strongrooms,
and records management tasks, with the opportunity to work in a
well-established organisation in a new state-of-the-art archive building.
Applicants should have a 2:1 or above in History, with a major element of
the degree consisting of British history after 1066, and be computer
literate. You must be enthusiastic, have excellent communication and
organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in a small team.
The post is 70% fte until 30 April 2008, and 50% fte thereafter. The post
is a maternity leave replacement until 24 November 2008.
