COMPUTATIONAL STATISTICS & DATA ANALYSIS
Correspondence Analysis and Related Methods
http://www.elsevier.nl/locate/csda
Guest Editors: Joerg Blasius, Michael Greenacre, Patrick Groenen and
Michel van de Velden
During the last decades there has been a steady and increasing
interest in correspondence analysis for the visualization and
interpretation of categorical data. We hereby announce a special
issue on "Correspondence Analysis and Related Methods" to be published
in the journal Computational Statistics & Data Analysis (CSDA). The
objective of this special issue is to spotlight the very latest
research in correspondence analysis and related techniques, and
discuss future developments. Themes of the special issue include all
forms of correspondence analysis and related fields, including
visualizations of categorical data:
o Simple correspondence analysis
o Multiple correspondence analysis
o Joint correspondence analysis
o Multiway correspondence analysis
o Canonical correspondence analysis
o Nonsymmetrical correspondence analysis
o Dual scaling
o Optimal scaling
o Homogeneity analysis
o Multidimensional scaling of categorical data
o Biplots of categorical data
o Visualization of compositional data
o Correspondence analysis in the social sciences
o Correspondence analysis in ecology and the environmental sciences
o Correspondence analysis in the health sciences
o Correspondence analysis in marketing research and management
o Principal component analysis
o Geometric data analysis
The contribution should be of high quality and contain strong
computational statistical or substantive data-analytic elements. All
submissions must contain original unpublished work not being considered for
publication elsewhere. Submissions will be refereed according to standard
procedures for Computational Science and Data Analysis. Information about the
journal can be found at http://www.elsevier.com/locate/csda
Authors wishing to contribute to the special issue should send their
manuscripts electronically (PDF format) before October 15, 2007 to
Patrick Groenen ([log in to unmask]). It is expected that the entire
reviewing process is finished before the autumn of 2008.
With best wishes from the special issue editors:
Joerg Blasius, Michael Greenacre, Patrick Groenen, Michel van de Velden
