"Web 2.0 - what it's all about" - a workshop with Phil Bradley
Brunel University, Thursday 6th September 2007
Your customers are surely using them, your colleagues are definitely talking about them, so now is the time to find out about Web 2.0 applications for yourself! Come along to this workshop provided by the Aslib Engineering Group at the Brunel University Library and see what all the fuss is about.
Phil Bradley, a well-known Internet consultant and provider of training courses, gently guides us with an introduction to the concepts behind Web 2.0, why it's different to the existing WWW, what we need to know, and how it is going to change our jobs. The course will also look at, and be focused upon practical applications and uses of these products, such as start pages, social networks, social search engines, general utilities and so on.
Please join us for what promises to be an informal and enjoyable overview of the current Web 2.0 landscape and our role within it. There will be plenty of time to try out the tools with advice from Phil on how to make the best of them.
