University of Chicago Press chooses Publishers Communication Group to deliver increased revenues in Europe
Cambridge, MA USA - August 2007. Publishers Communication Group (PCG), the leading provider of research, sales and marketing services to scholarly and professional publishers, is pleased to announce that it has entered an agreement with the University of Chicago Press to deliver a comprehensive European Sales and Marketing program.
Pursuant to this agreement, PCG will work closely with the University of Chicago Press to expand the circulation of its 44 journal publications - which cover academic fields such as medicine, social sciences, economics and philosophy - in European libraries, hospitals, medical schools, government agencies and research facilities. The agreement began at the start of July, and PCG is currently recruiting for a European Business Development Manager to cover Europe from PCG's UK office.
The University of Chicago Press selected PCG for its extensive knowledge and understanding of the European market. Through this partnership, the Press will deliver on its strategic mission to build relations with a European audience, leveraging PCG's direct, personal representation to open new doors. Additionally, European customers will benefit from a local contact for the University of Chicago Press, bringing the Press closer to this key market.
