ALPSP One-Day Seminar
Future present: Changing your environment with e-Books?
Friday 2 November 2007
Venue: British Institute of Radiology, 36 Portland Place, London, W1B 1AT
Chair: Linda Bennett, Goldleaf
This seminar sets out to capture the e-book initiatives with staying-power
from the years of experiment and innovation. Speakers will sift out the
most flexible current models and programmes and point publishers to the
range of strategic options from which they can choose to build a robust
electronic publishing strategy for the future.
The seminar is aimed both at publishers who have yet to decide on their
e-publishing strategy and those who already have one but are seeking new
models and delivery options, or who simply wish to compare notes with other
publishers. Although ALPSP is an organisation for scholarly and academic
publishers, the seminar will have equal relevance for trade publishers who
are exploring e-solutions. It will also be of interest to aggregators,
platform providers and librarians who are engaged in electronic resource
delivery or building institutional repositories.
