Project Assistant
Temporary 6 month contract
Salary: £19,000 per annum (pro rata)

Do you have a strong organisational ability that you can bring to an
exciting secondary science learning project?
We are currently looking to recruit a Project Assistant to join the
Museum's Department for Learning, initially for 6 months. Your main role
will be to assist the team, aiming to ensure that our two externally
funded projects run smoothly. The aim of these projects is to enable
museums with natural history collections to support and enrich secondary
school science teaching and learning. The museum partners are the Natural
History Museum, the Oxford University Museum of Natural History, the
Hancock Museum and the Manchester Museum.
Role requirements:
- previous experience of project administration
- strong IT skills
- excellent organisational skills
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- professional attitude and manner
- excellent problem solving ability and the ability to work under own
initiative
- good team player
Role responsibilities:
- maintaining project systems and documentation
- organising meetings, consultation sessions and workshops including note
taking
- reporting on project progress
- monitoring and reporting on project finance
- literature and web-based research
- liaison with partner venues
