Hi
Well this mailbase usually stops us all from reinventing the wheel however Mark O'Connor is doing EXACTLY (rather spookily) what People Asset Management are doing....pilots are done and the online launch is the end of August.
Whilst our system is also web-based and 'automated' we don't use the F word (how could you!) we use the "suitable/suitable with adjustments/unsuitable" type approach. Other than that we have taken the same approach - room for us all Mark! Good Luck!
Regards,
Jane

I agree wholeheartedly.
However many of my clients (big National firms is some instances) are very slow in changing established protocols. I have developed my system in a way that should naturally encourage them to forget about the questions and with the whole system taking the process to a same day result I am hoping that I can shift the focus to suitable modifications adjustments to allow efficient working from the start
The process is launching as a commercial venture in Spetember/October - if you know of any companies that would like to trial the system then let me know. Essentially companies buy blocks of "tokens" to allow access to the forms and this includes the fianl assessment and database storage of results etc...
Best Wishes
Mark

Hi Mark
This all sounds very interesting and I am very flattered with what you call the initial stage however, I do feel I should give the credit to the originators and the research being undertaken on this by the Royal Free, Sandwell NHS Trust and also Birmingham NHS Trust - and they are the ones I know about - there maybe more. After years of trolling thru endless PEQs with little reward I am glad to see that some people are exploring innovative ways to health assess new, generally healthy, adults.

Yes I do
Several large city firms have adopted this approach
I am developing an online system whereby employees can enter details on an online form, analysed and assessed by OH with management simply seeing a result ( fit, not fit, etc... ) once completed. All stages emailed so that managers know where the process is at any one time. Obvious advantages in terms of removing the paper chase and the internet is reaching into every nook and cranny of everyday life and so access is becoming accessible to all socio economic groups
I am aware of threads passim that debate the merits of PEQs and my system starts with the "Greta's three questions" for want of a better phrase so that the process can be aborted at an early stage if a company sees the light and does not wish to collect vast quantities of largely irrelevant data
If any of you are interested then contact me off list for more info
Best Wishes
Mark
