somebody to take on the role of Lecturer/Reader in Digital Architecture. We
are taking a broad view of what architcture can be and the relationship that
the digital may have with it. We would be interested to receive applications
from people undertaking research, possibly through practice, into innovative
applications and/or theories in the application of digital technologies in
the built environment.

The Schools of Landscape Architecture and Architecture at Edinburgh College
of Art and Architecture at the University of Edinburgh are working in
conjunction with the School of Built Environment at Heriot Watt University,
towards an innovative institutional alignment with the aim of creating an
Edinburgh School of Architecture. Together they will deliver a single
professional programme (ARB/RIBA Parts 1 and 2) as well as an enriched suite
of postgraduate programmes (taught and research). This institutional
alignment will offer an exceptionally rich and challenging environment for
those seeking to work in the field of architecture and related arts. To
support this alignment, the College is seeking to appoint a:
Lecturer/Reader in Design and Integrated Digital
Architecture Ref: MS-Lec/R
£35,837 - £48,161 pa *
Providing academic leadership in the area of digital media within the
architecture and landscape architecture programmes at postgraduate and
undergraduate level, you will have the creativity, enthusiasm and skills to
contribute to the potential of an Edinburgh School of Architecture.
With demonstrable teaching experience, you will manage and lead teaching and
learning. You will have a strong research record, be expected to review and
suggest changes to the curricula, and establish a research culture around
