Hello Sarah and List,
I am currently working with the team on the fast approaching Pure Data
Convention in Montreal.
I forwarded your recent mail about the convention and the exhibition at
Pierre Francois Ouellette and all of the artists and convention team really
appreciate your interest.
The installations at PFO Gallery open in the next couple days. I let the
gallery know that you had written with interest. As one of the few
commercial galleries in Montreal that make a big effort to present more
experimental work, it's very important to them to know that they have
support from others in the field.
Please feel welcome to write to any of us for further information and I will
try to make some updates during the convention.
During the events we will add images daily to the website:
http://www.pure-data.ca
We are also now trying to arrange for some streaming sessions. If any of you
would like to connect with us, please get in touch.
More information is constantly being added to the website so keep checking.
you can get the latest press release at:

Already the hosting of this event has shown us all how large and dedicated
our local PDmontreal community is. We have managed to arrange for close to
40 visitors to stay in the homes of local PureData users, artists and
programmers and we have formed partnerships with numerous major art centers,
universities, radio stations, art collectives, other sponsors and tons of
great local DJs. So many people with varying levels of interest in Free and
Open Source Software, Pure Data, digital and media art are hard at work
helping with all aspects the production.
Now we all look forward to everyone arriving and for the events to begin!
The dates are: August 21-26th, 2007
Please get in touch if you want to be involved from a distance or if you
plan to be in Montreal.
