Just back from a fortnight in Dorset and caught up with some reading in the
middle of the storms and down pours. Nice to get some downtime though.
So, here's a few queries!
Firstly, some late summer reading please. Can we have a round up of who is
up and coming in Britain and Ireland right now (i.e. new talent)? Let's say
poets under 25, who the list finds interesting, or to avoid ageist
legislation, older poets who are new to writing. Folk with collections
forthcoming or unpublished. Or maybe a pamphlet out.
Second, I wondered, developmentally, what people saw as the key changes in
British and Irish progressive poetry over say the past five or so years. How
have things moved on? Where have the linguistic innovations come from, what
are their characteristics. In other words, how has the British and Irish
avant-garde progressed in the 21st century?
