Wanted: Happy people aged 50+
Do you know anyone who is happily married, or happily divorced, or just plain happy and is over the age of 50? Informants are sought for a private, one-off study (to never be published but to be given as a wedding present).
The research question is: How do you grow older delightfully?
- How do you stay energetic and engaged by the world?
- How do married people grow as individuals without growing apart as a couple?
- Is bitterness an inevitable part of wisdom?
- Is honesty the best policy?
- Is it worth it?
This study will examine the conventional pearls of wisdom which are often given to young people as they get married, and consider them against the experiences of people who are a little older. All interviews will be completely confidential and anonymous, and will be conducted over the phone.
