Hi everyone,
There was interest on the list serve some time ago on topics such as case
studies of organisations with EDRMS and KAAA implementations; research
conducted on how EDRMS are implemented and used; re the usage behaviours of
EDRMS users; and about user experiences retrieving information using the
Keyword Triple AAA (KAAA). My PhD program's research with the University of
Western Australia covers aspects of these topics from an EDRMS user's
perspective. Hence, I would like to share with you a journal article that
is authored by me and my PhD program supervisors. This article was recently
published in the Human IT Journal and includes quotes from users re their
experiences using the KAAA, and their information retrieval frustrations
with poor (meaningless) document/record titling in the EDRMS by colleagues.
The article summarises my PhD empirical research on the "Information Seeking
Behaviour of EDRMS Users: implications for records management principles and
practices". The abstract of the article and the contents are published in
the Human IT Journal and is accessible at
http://www.hb.se/bhs/ith/1-9/psjkka.htm. For a single page or A4 size view
of the Information Seeking Behaviour Model of ERMS Users, I would suggest
clicking on the link to Figure 2
<http://www.hb.se/bhs/ith/1-9/Singh_fig2.pdf> on the front page of the
article. The Human IT Journal is an online journal accessible by all. The
article was peer reviewed for publication in the special issue of the
journal on the topic of 'Electronic Records'. You may find other articles
in this issue of interest as well.
I am currently writing up my thesis and would appreciate any feedback you
may have on the research findings presented in the article.
Thank you for your time.
Regards,
Pauline Singh
