You should find that spm_input is still there but that spm_select was
introduced in spm5, replacing spm_get. The syntax is a little different
(and much more powerful, I was told here
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/webadmin?A2=ind06&L=SPM&D=0&I=-3&P=453929)
For those of us too lazy to convert all old scripts, Karsten Specht and
myself had the same idea at about the same time, which was to write a
converter file that takes spm_get calls in spm5 and passes them on to
spm_select. No guarantees, as always, but you are welcome to try it out.
Best,
Marko
