For scanned post (in the areas we have rolled out EDRM) we have done a
BIP0008 assessment of the process we use and now destroy all scanned
post after 30 days.

Subject: Retention of paper copies after scanning
I know this was raised in September 2006 but I am hoping more councils
have moved to scanning and have more robust procedures in place for the
destruction of paper. How long does anybody keep the paper copies of
documents once they have been scanned?
