Hi Kasper,
I think you overestimate _Real Gone_, the weakness of
it probably due to the fact that Waits let his kids
get in on the act and work on production.
Casey is a good drummer, but Kellysimone and Sullivan
are not, shall we say, professionals--yet.
And yes, _Frank's Wild Years is great, but I like
_Mule Variations_ better. When it came out I read an
interview with Waits in which he said that Robert
Johnson spoiled American music. Once he got a car,
farm animals were doomed.
