For what it is worth, Bewick Moreing & Co was still going, but not strongly
it would seem, in 1967, an entry in the Mining Year Book for that year,
p683, being: 'G M S Leader, C. Eng., M.I.M.M., Bewick, Moreing & Co., Consulting
Mining Engineers, Dashwood House, 69 Old Broad Street, London, E. C.2.'
In correspondence with Justin Brooke in 1998, he informed me that he had met
Geoffrey Leader in 1968 or 1969 and was told that he was then the sole
surviving partner of Bewick Moreing, with an office in a block on London Wall.
Gill Burke in his article on C A Moreing in Dictionary of Business
Biography, (Butterworth, 1984), does not suggest that there is a significant Moreing
archive in London
