Beatrice, as I posted before, we have some practical modules as part of
our masters course, including a normal birth module based on telling and
analysing stories from practice at a theoretical, research based,
reflective, policy and practice level, and a changing clinical practice
module that is about the student planning, setting up, negotiating and
implementing an evidence based practice innovation.
all the best

Dear Polona,
At Karolinska Institutet in stockholm, Sweden, we have a purely
theoretical
course methods and then a study that the students write a thesis on.
But in
other countries they have clinical practise as well but I dońt know if
the
masterstudents try a new method in clinical work and write about that
or how
it is organized. Interesting to see if somebody can give an anwer.

Ämne: MSc and practical training
Dear colleagues!
What do you think of practical training in the postgraduate study
programmes? Do you think it is good idea to have practice in clinical
setings on MSc level or do you think it is better to keep the
programme
purely theoretical? How your programmes look like?
Looking forward for a fruitful discussion.
Best wishes,
Polona Mivšek, midwife, Slovenia
