Graduate School of Education
(ref. 13297)
The Graduate School of Education is offering an exciting opportunity for a
post-doctoral researcher to develop their profile in an area of great
relevance to the development of digital culture, that of user generated
content and the learning communities it spawns. We are seeking a researcher
to conduct fieldwork, analysis and reporting on an AHRC/BBC funded research
and development project looking at the use of online user generated content
and the learning communities that create it. You will work largely
independently but in close contact with Professor Angela McFarlane and BBC
colleagues.
Grade: Grade 1A - Grade 1A
Salary: £26,666
Please note that the University is introducing a new grade structure for the
majority of its staff groups on 1st August 2007. The grade and salary
details currently included for this vacancy relate to the University's
existing grade structure and will be superseded with effect from 1st August
2007.
All of the posts affected by this change have been or are being formally
evaluated to confirm their new grade or matched to a role profile. It is
anticipated that the majority of posts will see either no change or an
increase in salary. However, a small proportion will move to a grade at a
lower salary level than the post is currently graded at and, in these
circumstances and where someone is in post by 31st July 2007, the salary
will be protected at the existing level for a maximum of four years from 1st
August 2007.
