I'm not sure whether LSE Library has an appropriate generic contact
address for this role, yet.
But "[log in to unmask]" would mean minimal editing, to produce a
much more enduring 'A-word' ;->
(You might have to distinguish issues of (physical, etc) accessIBILITY;
but combining the administration of who has access to e-resources, with
who is allowed physical access to library-controlled spaces, might make
a lot of future sense.)
It would also be sensible to coordinate who undertakes this local role,
with the nominations you need to make to the UK Federation. At present,
as LSE's Management Liaison
[http://www.ukfederation.org.uk/content/Documents/ManagementLiaison], I
can nominate Technical contacts
[http://www.ukfederation.org.uk/content/Documents/TechnicalContact] (the
sys-admins of the servers running our IdPs - not necessarily required to
be 'user-friendly' people ;->), and also Support contacts
[http://www.ukfederation.org.uk/content/Documents/SupportContact] (who
*are* expected to communicate well with humans).
My Library colleague who is currently our Athens Administrator should
certainly be a Support contact. This means that she will be recognised
as such if she needs to contact the Fed to resolve a problem, and will
be identified to SPs via the Fed metadata about our IdP (although it's
unlikely that any SP will look that deeply into the Fed metadata -
unless there is a problem to resolve).
As we gradually extend Shib-mediated access to some internal services,
I'll probably need to nominate some IT (as opposed to Library) User
Services staff as Support contacts, too.
For a contact to go on e-resource licenses, you may want to use your
designated Administrative contact
[http://www.ukfederation.org.uk/content/Documents/AdministrativeContact]
(may be the same person(s) as Management Liaison) because (according to
the definitions) s/he is "responsible for providing and maintaining the
registration data of the entity, and for ensuring that federation policy
is observed."
How these roles all fit together (and for a small organisation, they can
all be the same person) is described along with all the technical stuff
at: http://www.ukfederation.org.uk/content/Documents/RegisterIdP
