We are looking for an experienced archaeologist who can manage the Northumberland County Historic Environment Record. The work will involve extensive use of IT, particularly GIS, and will require experience of data collation and management. The work will require familiarity with a wide range of resources, including aerial photographs and historic documents and maps.
Applicants should be qualified to degree level in archaeology or a related subject, they should have experience as an archaeologist, experience in the use of GIS and databases and experience of land management issues. The post requires good communication skills and a good attention to detail. Previous experience of SMR/HER work would be preferable. Minimal weekend and evening work required.
It is anticipated that interviews will be held on 9th August 2007
