Dear Dieter
This is not a book but there are a variety of free resources on Biz/ed
that might be useful in supplementing your resources.
Have a look at:
http://www.bized.co.uk/educators/16-19/economics/development/index.htm
There is also the Virtual Developing Country which has recently been
fully updated.:

Dear list members,
I've been trying to find a book for students (A-level course) on
development/underdevelopment. So far, I've used "Development and
Underdevelopment by Garrett Nagle. Quite a good book, I find, but too
outdated (1998/1999). Unfortunately, from what I've found out, there is
no
updated edition available. Which means I'm looking for something
similar.
Do you know of a student's book that you can recommend? Any
cross-national
help would be much appreciated.
Thanks a lot and all the best from Lake Constance
Dieter
