12-3pm, dito office Mile End, London E3.
Hiya - hoping that the wind blows you some super loveliness today!
Am mailing to invite you all to the first 'Barbie Poetry' event, to be held
THURSDAY 2nd AUGUST 2007, 12-3pm, dito office Mile End, London E3.
Barbie Poetry is reading of poems by local disabled people from East London
combined with a tasty barbeque. Organised by the original Barbie poet, Ms
Barbara Stewart Extraordinaire this extended lunchtime session will showcase
the poems and literary wonders of a number of local disabled people.
Through the poetic expression, an alternative way of seeing disability shall
be presented that will outstand, amaze, humour and embrace different bodies
and minds. Micheline 'shining a light on inclusion' Mason, author of
'incurable human', 'let it be us and other poems' as well as other works is
also attending to read some of her poetry [ see
http://www.michelinemason.com/index.htm].
In addition, a Barbeque lunch will be served of meat, vegetables and other
dietary arrangements which we hope will make for a great and insightful day.
We'd like so much if you can make it. Address is DITO - Disability
Information Training Opportunity, 40-50 Southern Grove, London E3 4PX. Tel
02073646564, Fax 02088806776 or email [log in to unmask] Please contact us
for further information, accessibility
