Brief description:
The Institute of Mathematics, Statistics & Actuarial Science (IMSAS) is looking to recruit a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in any field of Statistics.
You should be able to contribute to the research profile of the Statistics Group. The Statistics Group currently has a strong research profile in areas of Statistical and Bayesian theory and applications, nonparametric Bayes, pharmaceutical statistical modelling and medical statistics, epidemics, shape analysis, wavelets, chemometrics, bioinformatics, financial statistics, risk theory, applied probability, biometry and ecological modelling. It forms one of three nodes of the National Centre for Statistical Ecology (NCSE).
The successful candidate will be required to teach students and provide ancillary teaching to other departments within the University. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate that they can contribute to the research and teaching programme in the Department. Appointment at the Senior Lecturer level will demand a higher level of proven achievement than at Lecturer level.
