well I've never attended the national finnish curriculum, at any
stage. even in Finland I've always been taught in international
schools, 90% in english. but I was introduced to english poetry the
same way all junior-high-ees probably are, tersely & teasingly.

you're not calling ME a 'minor poet of great distinction', are you?
I'd have to refuse that title with a self-loathing sneer.
my judgements of texts on petc are based on lack of understanding,
lack of experience, a fervent attraction & devilish attention to the
detail of harmony & beauty (which I'm often unable to focus on my own
work) & my gut.
good to hear that both Mika & Aki are respected abroad. I knew they
were of course, but yeah.
