FINDING AND UNDERSTANDING COMPANY INFORMATION
12 September 2007, London
Finding accurate and reliable information on a company or organisation in a short amount of time can prove difficult. Throw the company name into your favourite search engine and it's likely you will be overloaded by a torrent of disparate information.
It would be much better to know what different types of company information are available and how they can be searched without endlessly repetitive results.
BENEFITS OF ATTENDING
Delegates attending this course will gain an understanding of just what types of company information are available and how and where to access them.
This is not an Internet course but the Internet will be used to illustrate sources and techniques throughout the day.
BY THE END OF THE EVENT PARTICIPANTS WILL HAVE:
· a clear understanding of the types of company information available
· a finding guide for the key sources
· search strategies for company information
· creative approaches to unearthing gems
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Those library and information staff charged with providing company information as part of their work. It will be particularly useful for those requiring a structured approach to the subject.
COURSE LEADER
Terry Kendrick has been a strategic marketing planning consultant since 1987 and regularly provides company profiles and beyond for clients. He has worldwide experience having undertaken projects in seventeen different countries. Previous to his consultancy role Terry was a reference librarian for ten years.
