Fellow Coot-ers,
I am in the process of building some Fedora Core 6 workstations for
running Coot and other stereo-enabled software. I have Quadro 980XGL
graphics cards, which work fine under RH9. I've installed the Nvidia
binary driver 96xx series via the Livna repository under KDE. Graphics
acceleration works fine, Coot runs, but I can't invoke stereo in Coot,
which complains about missing extensions and concludes that the graphics
system is not stereo ready. It seems that there must be a simple
configuration error, since I have the driver running in non-stereo mode.
Here is the xorg.conf file:

I manually added the 'Load "glx"' and Option '"Stereo" "3"' lines. My
RH9 XF86Config file has lots more stuff under the "Module" section,
including 'Load "extmod"'. Is anybody running Coot on FC6 in stereo that
can spot anything obvious here preventing stereo display? I would prefer
not to have to install the Nvidia Driver directly and break Linux.
Cheers,
