I too like the idea of a drop-down menu to group spectra, but how would
that affect the speed at which the window will load and react?
Can I propose an alternative?
I use a lot of windows in my project, each with a different subset of spectra.
Going further, I also use window groups to keep my project at least somewhat
organized.
So, one could just make a dedicated window for TOCSY and one for NOESY
spectra, and maybe one 'summary' window that loads the peaks only for easy
propagation (symbol drawn = 'yes') without actually opening the contours for
each spectrum.
This already works very well for me but it's a bit of a pain to setup.
Each spectrum has to be individually selected and 'formatted' (positive
contours, negative contours, annotations...) in the 'Edit Window Mapped
Spectra' popup.
Adding a way to propagate the 'format' of a spectrum to several others
(similar to how the experiment can be propagated when opening a whole bunch
of spectra) would make setting up new windows much quicker - hence providing
a convenient way to solve Marco's request?
