Good day everyone,
I am finishing up the work on the volume II of the fauna from the site of
Tell Abu Hureyra in Syria. This will be a disk/internet publication of all
of the databases, including all species identifications from all layers in
the seven trenches, complete measurement databases of Bos, Equus, Gazella,
Capra, Ovis, Lepus, etc etc.....see domestication happen before your very
eyes! Plus a bit of text and interpretation.
This is with the kind support of the Leverhulme Trust and the Department of
Archaeology, University of Cambridge, who will be fully acknowledged in the
final publication for their help.
However, in the mean time - a few tricky bones. Please see "Zooarch
attachments" at www.alexandriaarchive.org/icaz/icazForum/viewtopic.php?t=596
There are 4 images posted on June 12th with the titles
1. My last image......
2. AH Again.....
3. Reptile bone? (seeing the magnified image, I now think that this is fish)
4. Fish tooth from the Euphrates
