To reopen this can of worms, I decided to have a look at how such an
intrusive test got onto our worker nodes.
At least it comes from an RPM and is traceable:
[root@gridmon ssh]# rpm -qf /opt/lcg/etc/jobwrapper-start.d/
lcg-sam-client-WNconfig-EGEE-0.1-13
What's in it?
[root@gridmon ssh]# rpm -ql lcg-sam-client-WNconfig-EGEE
/opt/lcg/etc/jobwrapper-end.d
/opt/lcg/etc/jobwrapper-end.d/01-same.end
/opt/lcg/etc/jobwrapper-start.d
/opt/lcg/etc/jobwrapper-start.d/01-same.start
/opt/lcg/same/client/etc/publisher.wsdl
/opt/lcg/same/client/etc/query.wsdl
Now my question is: are the files in this RPM needed by the regular SAM
tests or just by the jobwrapper tests? If they're just used by the
jobwrapper tests I will delete this RPM to prevent the "problem"
recurring. (Yes I know it's a part of the official middleware but I'm not
persuaded that makes it a "feature" rather than an "issue".)
